Do You Know Him?
Jesus Is More Than a Story — He’s the Truth That Changes Everything!
Jesus is not a fictional character or the product of imagination. He is a real, historical figure who forever changed the course of human history. His birth marked the division of time—Before Christ (B.C.) and Anno Domini (A.D.), meaning “in the year of our Lord.”
As a child growing up in church, I never really understood who the man on the cross was. That changed when a friend gave me a Bible. I started reading it—and slowly, things became clearer. But it wasn’t until the day I had my abortion that I truly understood why Jesus died. In that moment of deep pain and brokenness, I realized He died for me.
Before that, I didn’t think I had any real sins. I thought I was a good person. And if I had no sin, then why would I need a Savior? But that’s where so many of us miss it—we believe being “good” is enough. Yet the truth is, we all fall short. And Jesus came for every one of us.
When I read the Old Testament—especially the prophecies about the Messiah—I was stunned. Isaiah 53 convinced me beyond a doubt: Jesus is the promised Savior that so many are still waiting for. I encourage you—if you've never read the Bible—start with just one chapter: Isaiah 53. Then ask yourself, “Who is the prophet Isaiah talking about—hundreds of years before Jesus was even born?”
Jesus was judged for doing good. He was misunderstood because He loved the outcasts and sinners. The religious leaders were jealous of His teachings and His miracles. And today, many still don’t understand who He truly is.
But here's the truth:
He loves even the worst of sinners.
He doesn’t reject anyone.
He died so we could live—with Him, forever.
That was God’s plan all along.
Jesus isn’t mad at you.
He’s not waiting to condemn you.
He’s inviting you—to be with Him for eternity.
Let me ask you something personal:
Do you know for sure that you'll go to heaven when you die?
If God were to ask you, “Why should I let you into My heaven?” — what would you say?
Not sure?
Here are a few truths from God’s Word:
-
Heaven is a free gift.
-
We can’t earn it.
-
We’re all sinners.
-
And we can’t save ourselves.
But the Bible says this in John 3:16:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Yes—God loves YOU so much that more than 2,000 years ago, He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for you.
"Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea…" (Matthew 2:1)
Jesus is real.
He is love.
And He’s waiting with open arms.
The Bible also says that we are ALL sinners. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
This is all done because of God's grace, through faith. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8
The Bible also says that we must be born again. In John 3 :5-8 we read Jesus's words, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
If you want to be born again, you can start by saying a prayer from your heart or you can repeat this simple prayer:
Jesus, I am a sinner and I ask that you would forgive me of all my sins.
I believe that you died on the cross and shed your blood to save me.
I want to live eternally with you in heaven, come into my life.
Be my Lord and Savior Amen."
My first prayer went like this:
"God, If you are real speak to me."
